The first article is titled "Defying the Law" and is from The Lawrence Telegram, dated July, 1896. The second article is titled "Twenty-Five Years Ago" and is dated October 9, 1921. The newspaper is unknown. The third article is titled "'Green Flag' Case Shows City's Irish Had Troubles" and is from the Sunday Eagle Tribune, dated March 18, 1979.

This folder contains the following items: (a) Massachusetts Historical Commission Inventory Form which contains a brief description of the Newbury School; (b) a photocopy of page 23 from the Superintendent's Report contained in the Lawrence City Documents of 1886-1887 which reports that the Newbury Street Schoolhouse was built during the municipal year, ending March 1, 1850.

Folder North School. This folder contains a March 27, 1985, Lawrence Eagle Tribune article "Construction Begins on New North School" which was built on the site of the Arlington School.

Folder Packard School. This folder contains the following items: (a) Packard School Order of Exercises dated June 26, 1880. This program lists the order of exercises for the graduating class as well as a list of those promoted to the high school. (1981.001.071); (b) "Admissions and Discharges Packard School" dated 1890-1911. This ledger contains an alphabetized list of students enrolled at the Packard School from 1890-1911.  Each page is organized with the following categories: Date of Birth, Parent Name, Residence, Occupation of Parent, Grade Level, Previous School, Grade When Discharged, Date When Discharged, Remarks (1990.083.002) (c) a photocopied Evening Tribune newspaper clipping dated January 15, 1929, "Beloved Teacher is Laid at Rest".
