Some organizations were for religious activities, education, and civic protection, while others were for the care of the needy, the sick, dependent children, the aged, local and national needs, and adult education. Some problems that the Jews faced were related to population distribution, immigration, emigration, and Jewish adjustment. Some activities the Jews participated in were related to Jewish efforts in other countries such as Palestine. They also engaged in social activities.
