"The purpose of this study is to examine a high school speech program in an attempt to determine whether it can be strengthened or replaced to meet the present needs of a student who will function in today's society. It will be shown that the existing program is inadequate, and rather than reinforce the present program, an entirely new course of study will be presented in Chapter III which is in line with today's needs for a speech program.".
