This photograph shows Mayor Lawrence LeFebre shaking hands with the wife of President James Carter, Rosalynn. Behind them President James (Jimmy) Carter is shaking hands with Mayor LeFebre's mother, Lorraine LeFebre. Also in the photograph is presidential aide Jack Watson. This photograph was taken in the White House East Room on January 26, 1978. Everyone is wearing formal clothing, including several unidentified men. Ornate furniture and paintings can be seen in the background.
