Group of students posed in front of school's entrance on steps. The girls wear long-sleeved dressed, the boys in button-ups and ties. The first two rows sit on the ground. The third row sits on the steps. The forth row appears to be sitting on chairs and the last row stands. Written on the back: Image of Joseph Howard Boyle ( known as Howard) Back row. Tallest in center. Born August 24, 1897 Died July 24, 1918 . Killed in WWI while serving as a Cpl in 101 Infantry 2nd Division. Buried at Arlington National Cemetery #18-2750. Registered there as Joseph.
