The name George A. Nelson of Lowell, MA is stamped on the back. This photo looks directly at the canal which only has a small puddle of water left. You can see a sidewalk on the left side lined with trees. On the opposite side, large mill buildings line the canal. There are a variety of materials lining the fence by the mills. A few chimneys as well as peak towers can be seen. There appears to be one person facing away from the canal and towards the mill buildings.
