A five inch square metal box that is decorated with gold, red and black painted designs on all sides with the exception of the bottom. The bottom remains plain gold. Inside the metal box are objects, mostly German artifacts, brought back from World War II by the donor.
1. Two should patches in black and gold.
2. A piece of a torn fabric, perhaps from flag, with the image of a flying eagle holding the Nazi
emblem.
3 . A patch with an eagle standing a top a German Nazi symbol.
4. A German brass belt buckle with the German Nazi symbol .
5. A pin with a black and beige shield and a bird attached to a black and beige ribbon that
reads : PRENSSISCHER - LANDES-KRIEGERVERBAND.
6 -18. A variety of German pins from various cities, organizations, affiliations. Some are very
corroded and indecipherable. Others are in good condition .

2-4: 50 Biennig...some very corroded.
5 -13 : 5 Pfennig ..coins from 1906 - 1940's Changes seen coins in inscriptions and material.
14 - 35 : 10 Reichspfenig ..11 coins are brass; 11 coins are corroded metal. Decoration
changes as regime changes.
36. : Large brass coin that read : FABRICA D'ARMI DI TERNI.
The donor, Peter Romano of Lawrence, was a prisoner of War, held by the Germans in World War II. He donated the items in memory of Eighth Air Force WW II.
