A round, salt- glazed, stoneware jug with a broken cork stopper and a handle placed quite close to the neck. The front of the jug has impressed wording, in cobalt blue wash that reads :

According to 1868 / 1869 directory ( ad page 230) A.A. Lamprey and Company dealt in " West India Goods and groceries, fruits, and country produce" at 171 Essex Street, Lawrence. Proprietors were Elvin Eastman and H. A. Buell.
