Hook

This tool is a two - part instrument. One end is a pocket knife, made of pale yellow bone or plastic with metal casings at the ends. It has a 3- inch utility knife blade folded into the case. The other blade attached to the case is a reed hook which partially folds into the case. This is a long, slender flat blade with a curved tip and hook at the end. It is used by textile workers. The donor, Gordon Taylor, says it was used in the drawing-in process at Pacific Mills from 1920 -1953. It part of a collection of similar items.
