A white ceramic plate decorated with a calendar for the year 1910, the image of a young woman in a swimming costume and an advertisement. The plate has a scalloped edge, trimmed in gold. The border of the plate is decorated with various flower arrangements, pertinent to the season of the year. In addition to the flowers are the twelve calendar pages of the year printed in brown print. The young woman is in a yellow swim dress, wearing orange stockings and is seated on a dock by the water. The advertisement reads : COMPLIMENTS OF TAYLOR & DAVIS, GROCERS 61 BROADWAY, LAWRENCE, MASS. Taylor and Davis grocers was located in the Franklin House block opposite from the old Post Office. The back of the plate reads: CARNATION - MCNICOL. The plate was donated by Barbara Innes of Andover.
