A yellow and black metal button with the images of stalks of wheat and a rose. The button reads : BREAD & ROSES HERITAGE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEER. Bread and Roses is an annual festival held in Lawrence Common at Labor Day week-end to remember the Strike of 1912 and to celebrate workers' rights. The item was found in the Essex Company buildings compound was donated by the Immigrant City Archives.
