A large, tapered, green glass bottle with label that is in poor condition. The label is white with red, blue and black coloring. It has the image of a Huskey breed dog with mountains in the background and an image of a rising ( setting ? ) sun. The label reads : C.J. - REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. - GINGER ALE - PALE DRY - CURRAN & JOYCE CO. - LAWRENCE, MASS - CONTENTS 26 FLUID OZS. The bottom of the bottle has the markings : 00 - 29N. The label is partially attached. Curran and Joyce, Co. were importers and wholesale liquor dealers and bottlers according to their advertisement in the City Directory of 1900. It states they were established in 1877. They were located at 433 to 443 Common Street in Lawrence. The donor of the item is James P. Dowd of Lawrence.
