A decorated, ceramic beer stein. The beige colored stein is decorated with black and green trim, complete with twining vines, oval signs and a king sitting astride another sign wearing a cape, a crown, a loin cloth and holding a stein of beer. The lettering reads : HOPFEN U. MALZ, GOTT ER = HALT'S. the other side reads : GERSTE U. HOPFEN, GIBT WUN = DERTROP = FEN. The lettering in the center reads : COMPLIMENTS OF BOEHM'S CAFE ADOLPH G. BOEHM 78 - 84 ESSEX ST. LAWRENCE, MASS. DELMONICO OF LAWRENCE. The handle is undecorated. The base of the object has GERMANY embossed in it.. In addition to the cafe, Boehm's also brewed lager, porter and ale.
