This is one piece of a two-piece shaving set made of white ceramic and decorated with blue trim. This piece is a shaving mug, used to hold the shaving cream which is applied with a shaving brush. The mug has blue filigree trim around the rim and along the handle. Also the blue letters LHS are near the rim of the mug, placed in a circle surrounded by leaves. LHS stands for Lawrence High School. The base of the mug reads : SYLVIA SHENANGO CHINA NEWCASTLE, PA MADE FOR L. BARTH & SON NEW YORK. William Schwartz is the donor and an alumnus of the high school, class 1952.
