A large, dark green, round glass bottle with a long tapered neck with no stopper or lid, and paper labels on the front and the back. The front label is oval in shape and printed in red, green and white. It reads : CHELMSFORD VALLEY - EXTRA CHOICE - BOILED CIDER - SIX GALLONS BOILED TO ONE - QUALITY AND PURITY - GUARANTEED. BOTTLED BY CHELMSFORD CIDER CO. CHELMSFORD , MASS.
The label is decorated with apples on either side of the label and an image of a small town in a valley in the center.
The label on the reverse side reads : CHELMSFORD CIDER PIE - FORMULA OF MRS. CHAS. W. RICHARDS, LOWELL, MASS. and the recipe follows. Next it reads : FORMULA OF MRS. M. J. CLARK, BELLOWS FALLS, VT, and the recipe follows. next it reads : BE PARTICULAR TO GET CHELMSFORD BOILED CIDER. IT IS MADE FROM SOUND, NATURAL FRUIT AND HAS GREATER ACIDITY AND BETTER FLAVOR THAN ORDINARY KINDS. DILUTED WITH WATER AND SWEETENED IT MAKES A PLEASANT, HEALTHFUL DRINK. -
