A round, sepia colored, metal button with a photograph on the front of a baseball team. There are sixteen men, one boy and a dog. Three of the men are wearing suits and appear to be managers. The other men and the boy are wearing baseball uniforms. In cream colored lettering at the top of the button it reads : LAWRENCE THE CHAMPIONS. At the bottom of the button , in cream colored lettering it reads : COMPLIMENTS OF JOHN F. FINN. There are also two small blocks of text ,placed on either side of the photograph. On the left it appears to read ; RUTH CRITIC. But that is questionable. The other block of text reads : COMPLIMENTS OF (UNKNOWN WORD) LAWRENCE, MASS. The back of the button has a straight pin for attachment. The pin or button is part of the Hamblet collection, one of the largest ICA collections.
