A large silver Irish coin, placed in a white cardboard container with a glassine cover. Written on the cardboard are the words : IRELAND - 1962- $1.00
The coin itself ON ONE SIDE has the image of a large , leaping fish and the words:
FLOIRIN - 2s
The other side has the image of a harp and the words: EIRE - 1962
The coin was donated by David Burke , a Lawrencian who is very active in Hibernian affairs. Any other Lawrence connection is unknown. This coin is part of a collection of coins donated by Mr. Burke.
