A clear glass container with red and blue text that reads : HOLIHAN'S ALE AND BEER. Above the text is a red and blue emblem that contains a shield with two swords and a lion in the shield as well as a lion above the shield. Beneath the shield in Latin it reads : ELATUM DEPRIMAT A DEO NON. Holihan beer and ale were made by Diamond Spring Brewery located on Common Street in Lawrence. The brewery went out of business in 1972 and in 1973 the building was torn down. The donor of the item is David Burke of Lawrence.
