A clear glass container for beer, decorated with red and blue text and an emblem. The text reads: HOLIHAN'S ALE AND BEER. The emblem is a shield with a lion and two swords, another lion on top of the shield. Beneath the shield in Latin it reads : ELATUM DEPRIMAT A DEO NON. Holihan beer and ale was made by Diamond Spring brewery and was owned by Peter and Patrick Holihan. It was located on Common Street. The donor of the item was William Schwartz of Lawrence.
