Button

A button in red, blue, white and yellow with black lettering. The images on the button face are of a guitar playing creature ( a cow) with an audience of three people holding placards. In the background is the image of the Ayer Mill clock and the eagle on top of City Hall. The button reads : BREAD & ROSES FESTIVAL LAWRENCE, MA The placards read ; WE HAVE RIGHTS; WORKERS RIGHTS; HOORAY FOR OUR SIDE. The back of the button has a sticker that reads : COWPASTURE PRODUCTIONS (508) 688-3569.. The button was donated by J. Leavitt of Lawrence. The Bread and Roses Festival is held annually on Labor Day week-end on the Lawrence Common to remember the Strike of 1912 and to celebrate workers' rights.
