A very small round silver colored button given to blood donors by the American Red Cross.
The button is decorated by the words - AMERICAN RED CROSS - BLOOD DONOR - PRO PATRIA.
In the center of the button is a shield with stars and stripes on it and clusters of leaves behind the shield.
The back of the button is a circular disc that attaches to a button hole.
The button is attached to a card that reads that Mr. William Schwartz donated blood to the American Red Cross through the Arlington Mills Program. Also noted on the card is that there is a Red Cross Blood Donor card in the "ephemera box."
Mr William Schwartz has donated a large number of items to the ICA and is a Lawrencian native.
