A large white (outside) and pink (inside) tea cup used as a souvenir of Lawrence, MA. The cup has a pale pink lining with a gold trim on the rim of the cup. The exterior of the cup is white with small vertical beaded decoration. There is a black and white image of the Merrimack River waterfalls in Lawrence. The wording reads : MERRIMAC FALLS, LAWRENCE, MASS. The bottom of the cup reads : MADE IN GERMANY - WM.OSWALD &CO. LAWRENCE, MASS. William Oswald owned WILLIAM OSWALD DRY GOODS COMPANY, located at 225 to 235 Essex Street. His home was at 191 Jackson Street, Lawrence. The item was donated by George Hicks.
