Badge

This is a two piece badge made of gold colored metal and a red and black grosgrain ribbon with gold lettering.
The top of the badge ( or pin) is a metal bar with a pin on the back that reads: INSPECTOR
That bar is attached to the ribbon.
The ribbon reads : 47 TH ANNUAL CHAMPIONSHIP - M.I.T. - MAY 19, 20, 1933
Hanging from the ribbon, attached by a small brass ring, is a round brass medal. The medal has six different emblems or shields in the center, surrounded by a cluster of leaves.
Surrounding the emblems and leaves are the words : NEW ENGLAND INTERCOLLEGIATE AMATEUR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
The back of the badge has no marks or symbols .
The badge came in an envelope along with another ribbon that was used by an Official at a local Lawrence track and field meet ( See item # 1987.024.001). Perhaps Mr. Donohoe was an athletic coach or a trainer in Lawrence.
The envelope containing both artifacts reads ; MR. EDWARD DONOHOE, LAWRENCE, MASS 1933 TRACK MEET M.I.T.
