The lettering reads : OFFICIAL - 1 ST ANNUAL - GREATER LAWRENCE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS -- MEMORIAL FIELD - JUNE 3, 1936.
There are no markings on the back of the ribbon.
The ribbon came to the Archives via the DiPippos and it came, along with another badge, in an envelope that is marked MR. EDWARD DONOHOE LAWRENCE, MASS - 1933 TRACK MEET M.I.T. ( See item # 1987.024.002)
Both badges were used by inspectors or judges at amateur athletic events. Perhaps he was an athletic coach or a trainer from Lawrence in the early twentieth century.
