Series contains copies of documents (1957-1960) believed to be related to clients of Mr. Bagley as an attorney. Documents do not appear to have direct relationship to Essex Company other than that they belonged to Mr. Bagley. Records present include wills, codicils, financial holdings, etc. Records were found in folders dated monthly. Each folder contained a contents list. Mr. Bagley's Essex Company files were transferred from Boston to Lawrence at some point, and it is presumed that this collection of non-Essex Company legal files were mistakenly transferred at the same time.

notes: No indication has been found that these documents are related to the Essex Company except that they belonged to Mr. Bagley. While Mr. Bagley's name does not appear on the documents, some of the papers do contain in the upper right-hand corner a "check mark" followed by a capital "B". This same system of notation was found repeatedly while processing Mr. Bagley's Treasurer's Correspondence for the Essex Company. It is clear that Mr. Bagley's Essex Company files were transferred from Boston to Lawrence at some point, and it is presumed that this collection of non-Essex Company legal files were mistakenly transferred at the same time.
