Sub-series contains plans and drawings of various mills and property sites along the North and South Canals in Lawrence dated from 1858-1980. Included are drawings of some of the mill buildings and mill yard layouts. Mostly the plans and drawings consist of features of the property that relate to the Essex Company's ability to manage the water power distribution at their various customer's sites. Penstocks, racks, head gates, and turbines at the various sites are included, as are later electrical configurations, primarily at the Pacific Mills. Later plans include materials on the Lawrence Hydroelectric Project by the Lawrence Hydroelectric Associates.
