John K. Tarbox School 1895 - 1995 100th Year of Learning
Tarbox School in Lawrence, MA anniversary yearbook documenting aspects of the one hundred year history of the Tarbox School in Lawrence, MA. The booklet is covered in red construction paper with black lettering and bound with a red string. The pages ( 56 plus cover)are photostatic copies of originals items. Tarbox School was named in honor of former Mayor of Lawrence, John K ( Kemble) . Tarbox, located at the corner of Alder and Walnut Streets. It was constructed with a brick face, trimmings of North Conway granite, slated roof, copper flashing and Romanesque architectural details. The yearbook contains an architect's description of the building, notes from various personalties connected with the school; calendar of events for the centennial celebration; images collected over time of events and people connected with the school.
