Letter, 6.25 x 10 in, handwritten in pencil on ivory paper. Reads:
May 19, 1938. In memory of the first air mail that was ever sent off from Lawrence. It took off from the north andover air port(sic). After taken to Boston and back again with the first Lawrence air mail stamp on it. That made me very proud of Lawrence, Mass. The Friendlyest(sic) city in the united states(sic). And I hope I will keep this letter all my life. Jeanette Lucas 11 years old. In the bottom left corner is a hand drawn picture of a plane taking off.
