admin: William Caffrey was the Champion - Single Sculls Oarsmen, Amateur, of the USA and Canada in 1890 and 1891. He was a patrolman on the Lawrence, MA police department for 41 years, retiring in March, 1937. He died in November 22, 1937 at age 70.
