Report: First Annual Report of the Lawrence Boys' Club 1891. Report includes Committee, First Annual report, treasurer's report, superintendent's's report, the object of the work, the class of boys we reach, the duties of the superintendent, support, penny savings bank, entertainments, books and games, conclusion, list of contributors.
A representative of the International Committee Work for Boys suggested this idea to the city of Lawrence.
The " object of the enterprise is to take boys from the streets, away from demoralizing surroundings and influences, and place them for two hours each evening where they will be under proper discipline, yet without their feeling a sense of disagreeable restraint and put them on the road to being better boys and self-respecting citizens." ( Superintendent's report, 1891)
The Club as held at Rooms: 224 Broadway.
The report was printed in Lawrence, Mass by the American Printing House, 1891.
