Morgan Ring Family Scrapbook. The folder contains photocopies of the family photo album created by Abigail Ring Morgan; three letters written by Hazel Blood Taylor; engagement and wedding notice of Hazel Blood Taylor to Francis Ring Morgan and death notice of Hazel B. Morgan; family history created by Ruth Anne Morgan; two obituaries of Dorothy Bullock. dated 1949.; and a copy of the Morgan - Ring Family Tree.
The photo album was created by " me", Abigail Ring Morgan, wife of Winfield Clarence Morgan, dating from late 19th century through early 20th century.
A copy of a hand written notebook of the family history created by Ruth Anne Morgan, 1949, includes birth, deaths, marriages in-laws, places of burial. Attached to the front of this compilation is a handwritten family tree showing the connection to President William Howard Taft, President of the USA.
A more structured family tree form is in the folder, beginning with the marriages of John Morgan to Phebe Burton ( 1840) and the marriage of Ira W. Ring to Elisabeth S. Mills in ?. and concluding in 1975.

admin: The notes inside the front page of the photo album were written by Virginia (nee Wells) Morgan Hatton, wife and widow of Francis Morgan. Francis Ring Morgan was the son of Winfield Clarence Morgan and Abbie (nee Ring) Morgan. The donor, Glenn Hodgkins,is the great grandson of Winfield Clarence Morgan and Abbie (nee Ring) Morgan.

Album and related items were brought by Jim Beauchesne to the Lawrence History Center. They were loaned to Jim by Glen Hodgkins. Original album was returned. Permission was granted to LHC to reproduce the originals. Original was returned to Mr. Hodgkins via Jim Beauchesne.
