Make the treasures of the Lawrence History Center more accessible, engaging, and alive by embracing digitization, inventive storytelling, and a focus on preserving the present as well as the past.
Objectives:
- Digitize more of our archives so that anyone, anywhere, can explore Lawrence’s vibrant history.
- Create bold, imaginative exhibits that speak to all generations and bring forgotten stories into the spotlight.
- Organize and refine our collection for easier discovery, preservation, and deeper storytelling.
- Capture history in real time—by documenting today’s moments and movements, we keep Lawrence’s story growing and relevant.
