Scrapbook
This scrapbook contains news clippings on a wide range of topics including pop culture, breaking news, and local crime spanning the years between 1935 and the early 1960s. Clips from Vanity Fair magazines discussed Hollywood, popular movies and their showtimes, and popular actors during these years. More local news clippings– most from the Boston Post, Boston Globe, and Lawrence Eagle Tribune– document the progression and damage caused by Hurricane Edna in September 1954. An important factor in this scrapbook is the news documenting local and national coverage of the Kennedy assassination in November 1963; in this scrapbook are news clippings as well as entire publications dedicated to the news of Kennedy’s murder and information about his life before.
