Two young Italian American girls, around 16 years old, are dressed in costumes, probably handmade, and they are standing together and holding hands. The girl on the left is dressed symbolically in the American flag with stars on the sides. She is holding an American flag in her left hand. Her partner is wearing a peasant style jumper with an apron and a white blouse with an overturned collar. The apron is trimmed with bands of color which probably represent the red, white and blue colors of the flag of the USA. She is wearing a hat and dangling earrings. In her right hand she is holding a small flag with two colors and an emblem. There is a narrow banner showing the red, white and blue colors of the USA flag across her chest. The date of the photograph-postcard is estimated to be circa 1914. The photograph is sepia colored and on the front side of a postcard.
