Historical Coincidences Campaign Card
George W. Arvanitis campaign for congress. Card is for Historical coincidences between Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. The front of the card is blue with images of Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy an Attorney George W. Arvanitis on the front in black and white circles, and the capital building in the background. On the back of the card is a list of coincidences between Lincoln and John F. Kennedy.
“1. Lincoln was elected in 1860 and Kennedy was elected in 1960.
2. Both Presidents were assassinated on a Friday and both in the presence of their wives.
3. Both were shot from behind and in the head.
4. Lincoln’s successor was named Johnson. Kennedy’s successor was named Johnson. Both Johnsons were southerners, both were Democrats and both were former Senators.
5. Andrew Johnson was born in 1808
Lyndon Johnson was born in 1908.
6. John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald were both murdered before trials could be arranged.
7. John Wilkes Booth was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald was born in 1939.
8. Booth shot Lincoln in a theater and ran to a warehouse, Oswald shot Kennedy from a warehouse and ran to a theater.
9. Lincoln’s secretary whose name was Kennedy, advised him not to go to the theater. Kennedy’s secretary, whose name was Lincoln, advised him not to go to Texas.”
Under the list it says, “Good Government is No Coincidence!! Elect- Former Assistant Attorney General George W. Arvanitis Democrat Congressman.”
