Apart of a series of photos from the Ralph Fasanella Exhibit in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1994. This image shows the opening reception where Ralph Fasanella is addressing attendees and his wife, Eva, who sits to the right of Fasanella. Ralph Fasanella was a twentieth century artists whose work often depicted urban working life and was critical of Post-World War Two America, and opted for reformist politics through his paintings. Fasanella was from a working class Italian immigrant family and moved to Lawrence in the 1970’s from New York. Fasanella would often paint Lawrence, and had works surrounding the Bread and Roses Strikes.
