Apart of a series of photos from the Ralph Fasanella Exhibit in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1994. This image is of Ralph Fasanella at the exhibit reception on September 4th, 1994. Fasanella is talking to a woman named Odetta, of Lawrence Massachusetts. Ralph Fasanella was a twentieth century artists whose work often depicted urban working life and was critical of Post-World War Two America, and opted for reformist politics through his paintings. Fasanella was from a working class Italian immigrant family and moved to Lawrence in the 1970’s from New York. Fasanella would often paint Lawrence, and had works surrounding the Bread and Roses Strikes.
