Apart of a series of photos from the Asia in Lawrence Exhibit from 1996, curated by Janet H. Howell, and photographed by Loel A. Poor, this is an image of the Ravy Sok/ Sab Chhat Family who moved to Lawrence from Cambodia. This image shows, from the back left, Ravy Sok, Chhat Sab, and Ravuth. In the middle from the left is Dariana, Ang Bou, Darany, and Ravan, In the front from the left is Scott, Janath, and Johnny. One of the family members gave a statement, they said, " Yah, We scared at first. You know, they say it's a bad place town in Lawrence, but, you know, that's a good place for me to stay. I come in here thats a very nice place. I know some nice people. I never got trouble with some people, I like to stay in Lawrence."
