Murphy family poses for photo in front of Margaret Murphey's boarding house in 1916. The picture consists of the three boys and one young girl in the back, Dan Murphy on the right, worked as the captain of detectives for the Massachusetts State Police Department. To the left of Dan was Margaret, who worked at the Lawrence Massachusetts Gas Company for many years. To the left of Margaret is then Jeremiah "Jerry" Murphy, who worked as a physical education teacher in Lawrence Public Schools. Lastly, in the back to the left of Jeremiah is Leo, a Postal worker in Lawrence Massachusetts. In the photo Dan and Jeremiah are pictured in their uniforms for St. Mary's Cadets. In the middle row is Patrick McAulife, a paper mill worker, to his left is an unnamed woman. To the left of the unnamed woman is Mrs. Margaret Murphy who owned the boarding house at 21 Bradford St., Lawrence Massachusetts. The boarding house is no longer standing. On Margaret's left is John, or Jack Murphy who worked as a state police man and would later move away from the family to Long Island, New York. In the front row is Nora Murphy, from Sister Marie Bernadette's, S.N.D. Being held by Margaret to the left of Nora Murphy is Veronica Murphy. Veronica Murphy worked as the Vice President of the Arlington Trust Company for many years. Veronica would live the longest, and passed on December 17th, 1995 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. Finally, to the left of Veronica Murphy was Helen Murphy, a mill worker.
