Cream and brown plastic jewelry box lined with cream-colored satin, silk, or another shiny fabric with "EVERETT F. SCANNEL, PROP. SCHNEIDER'S JEWELERS LAWRENCE, MASS." printed in black. The bottom part of the box has maroon velvet with a slit and a piece of elastic to hold the jewelry. Underneath is marked "MADE IN USA". The top of the box is molded to appear engraved and features two hourglasses surrounded by leaves on either side of a blank banner also with leaves. The engravement has been colored a light brown. 2.75" long by 4.25" wide by 1.4" tall.

The light-colored plastic has some staining or dirt marks. On the left side near the hinge there is a thin crack that runs down and across the bottom. The shiny fabric has started to pull away from the plastic and dried glue can be seen.
