Book

This book is a well researched documentation of certain members of the slave population in Historical Andover, MA. These inhabitants, all born into slavery, were Phillis, Booso, Colley Hooper, Titus Coburn and Rosanna Coburn and all lived in what was considered Andover (now Andover, North Andover and part of Lawrence) from the collective years of 1727?-1859. The author, through town and state records, details the lives of these people and tells of their journeys towards freedom from slavery. The book includes several pages of notes and some black and white photographs.
