For women are pictured in the middle of an isle. Two are standing and the other two are crouching in front of them. They are blurred and out of focus. Not much of the spinning room can be seen in the background.
Text on back of item: From left to right standing: Josephine Maiden name: Antoci Alteri, Terry - Emery, Terry died. Sitting: Doris - Fram (Born 1924) worked at the Wood Mill as bobbin setter and as yarn girl went to West Electric. Ann - Fillela (1918?) Both worked in Western Electric and retired. Info. from Josephine on the phone. Spinning Room. Josephine Alteri - Born Aug 22, 1923- started as bobbin setter ($18.00 a week) at the Wood Mill. Later became a yarn girl ($70.00). She was 22 yrs old, started in 1945. After working 11 yrs. she went to Jo Gal Shoe Shop when the Wood Mills closed. Jo Gal was piece work she worked as stitcher and retired from there in 1971 "The Wood Mill was the best" I liked people, we were all young, it used to be fun" 13 is her lucky number, met her husband on 13, 1944 married Apr. 13, 1947.
