An excerpt-reprint from 'Appalachia', Vol. IV, No. II titled 'Altitudes in Massachusetts, by E. G. Chamberlain. The booklet contains methodologies used for the altitude measurements and the degrees calculated for the measurements. While the booklet itself does not contain measurements for Lawrence, a separate page insert does identify the altitude calculation for 31 sites from the Lawrence Water Tower. These sites include Wards Hill - Tower Hotel, General Sutton House - North Andover, Tilton Hill - Haverhill, Reading Water Tower.
