This is a book in a series of books created by Wallace Nutting about the sights and scenery of Massachusetts. The series this book is a part of is a collection of books meant to admire the sights of several different states in the U.S., the Vermont edition is even referenced in this book. Each page has a photo of a scenic view in Massachusetts, as well as a few paragraphs about where the photo was taken, some history about that area, and what it tends to look like throughout the seasons, using the photo as a guide. The book follows a route through Massachusetts, narrating it with pictures and descriptions of various different landmarks, and as the author notes in the forward on the first few pages, this is only one of two different Massachusetts additions in the “Beautiful” collection, as not every landmark and scenic point could be captured in one inclusive route.
