Book

This is a book of hymns compiled for the use of students in Christian Sunday school, created in the year 1890. The book is filled to the brim with sheet music accompanied with lyrics, every page a different song, all written in the same format. As the forward on the first page states, this book was used by teachers and local church leaders to create a sort of itinerary for their Sunday school services, so that they did not repeat the same hymns over and over again during the year. An added feature of this book, at the time, was the sheer ease of reading new and old hymns straight from an actual book, as it was typical at the time for religious leaders, at least, to know many of these Sunday school hymns by heart.
