The historical record of the death of President Kennedy
This is a book that serves as a historical record of the death of President John F. Kennedy, complied by United Press International and American Heritage Magazine. The book is large and has more photos than text, setting the scene of Kennedy’s assassination in a historically accurate fashion by explaining stark images taken on the day of the assassination and the three days of investigation, disbelief and shock that came afterwards. The book takes this “Four Days” format and uses it to, quite literally, describe the four days after the assassination and what transpired during that turbulent time in American history. The book goes over a basic history of the event in four parts; the assassination itself, the investigation and murder of Lee Harvey Oswald, the swearing in of a Lyndon B. Johnson, and the international period of grieving over the death of John F. Kennedy.
