Title
Out of the Kitchen into the War
This is a book written by a relative of Susan B. Anthony on the subject of women's rights and a woman's role in America during wartime. The author states in the book that women have been the cultural backbone of America during every crucial period in the country's war history, maintain the home-front and taking care of the next generation while the men occupy themselves with battle overseas. The author also stresses that it is up to women to advocate for themselves when the country is not in the midst of conflict, as a women's place should no longer be solely confined to the kitchen and the household. The book as a whole is a study of the role women have played in America up until 1943 and how their role has evolved, as well as how the author hopes to see it evolve further in the future.
