"Treasure Chest of Childrens Songs and Games"
Title (generic)
Book

This is a small, magazine-like book of games and songs for children made in 1937. It contains such classics as "Hey Diddle Diddle" and "Humpty Dumpty" written out in sheet music with illustrations to paint a picture of the song for the children reading. Considering the sheet music format, this bookwas likely used to teach younger children how to read and play music, which may be the "Games" aspect the title refers to, as anything but the sheet music is surprisingly absent from the book. Perhaps the 1937 definition of "Game" was quite different from ours. Another interesting thing to note about this book is that the inside front cover has a name and the date written on it, the name being John Peter Barter.
