A larger, hefty diary for the year 1916, with no specifically noted original owner. The diaries content is typical for a day-to-day journal, a normal description of the day itself as well as some comments on the owner’s wellbeing and, on some pages, transcribed quotes or poems. In particularly interesting fashion, this owner decided to keep a detailed listing of the temperature and weather possibilities on each page, for every day, even days that he/she did not write anything else on the page, the weather was still written in. 1916 was apparently a very cold year in New England.
