Title
Intricate Autograph Book
Title (generic)
Scrapbook
A small, intricate autograph book with a painting of four young girls in pink and blue dresses on the front, and a soft flower-patterned fabric covering the rest of the hardcover surface. This book was used by one Annie Donovan, as is written on the first page, to collect autographs from the many people she met. She lived on 538 Andover Street in Lawrence and, from February 1st to September 30th during the year 1907, she received many autographs in the pages of this book from other Lawrence citizens. One page, near the end of the book, is even signed by her brother, one Louis Donovan, who wrote this interesting rhyme about school for his sister: “I love coffee, I love tea, I belong to the Wetherbee”.
